Along the entire town of Zaostrog there is a 1500 meters long sandy beach. The beach is surrounded by fragrant pine trees that provide thick shade for visitors wanting to escape the summer sun.
Along the beach there are several restaurants offering fish and meat menus, beach bars and stands with fruits and vegetables; deck chairs and parasols can also be rented. There are showers and changing rooms on the beaches.
The beach also offers a variety of water games such as air slides for children, jet ski rentals, boats, bicycles, scooters and more.
In front of the house there is a smaller beach that offers privacy and is suitable for children.
During the tourist season in Zaostrog various events are organized, such as music evenings, klapa concerts (traditional a cappella singing in Dalmatia), fish nights, various events for children etc.
The main event is a celebration Our Lady of Angels, traditionally celebrated on August 2nd, lasting three days. This Catholic celebration mostly takes place in the Franciscan monastery of St. Mary, the most important and famous monument of Zaostrog and the entire Makarska Riviera.
Several events interesting for tourists are organized nearby, such as the Neretva River boat race, Makarska Jazz Festival and other events.
In close-by Makarska and other places, there are many bars offering a rich nightlife.
